Why low-ion plasmas?  Low ion-plasmas control recombination loss and therefore give significant energy advanges over other plasma for a host of applications such as metallurgical, materials processing, chemical synthesis, heat treatment, controlled high temperature heating, rapid heating for localized or large area processing, and P/M sintering. Plasma use also in electronics, ceramic drying, die heating, heating of coupons for tensile or thermal fatigue testing, microbial cleaning, standardization, brazing, soldering, dental, curing, binder burn off, packaging or sealing, Inert gases nitrogen, argon, and helium heated to 13000C.
