MHI
has successfully combined two effective heat treating technologies
to create a furnace that offers a high degree of temperature
uniformity and energy efficiency. This unique thermal processing
solution combines conventional radiative style heating with
a patented forced air convection Airtorch
technology. The result is furnaces that offer high temperature
productivity with the added benefit of hot air/gas circulation
inside the chamber to ensure excellent temperature distribution
and uniformity. Other design features contribute to lower
maintenance costs, higher safety and reduced liability issues.
Being electric, the furnaces emit low noise levels and are
pollution free.
If
your application requires the recirculation of inert gases,
MHI now offers several models of recirculating Airtorch
that can be incorporated into the hybrid furnace design
to further increase operating efficiency.
Airtorch
Hybrid Furnaces are useful when convection is required,
even up to 1500°C (2732°F). Hybrid furnaces incorporate
the Airtorch
into molybdenum
diSilicide/IR/GA-XP
furnaces. All such furnaces are custom built. Please contact

Bottom Loading Furnaces (BLE)
MHI's extensive line of bottom-loading furnaces have
the highest uniformity and energy efficiency ratings
in their class. They are best for batch production
as well as firing ceramics, ferroelectric, net materials,
and for glass melting. Our bottom-loading furnaces
also feature a smooth electronic hearth lift, purge
gas inlet options, and various customization possibilities.

Hybrid Models |
The
18-40 model furnaces offer the best of both in temperature
and price range. This model is capable of 1760°C
maximum temperature. Call MHI for more information.

The MHI NX series bottom loading hybrid
furnace offers low temperature heating by convection
using the Airtorch™ and high temperature sintering
with molybdenum disilicide heating elements. For more
